What is a Functional Wellness Consultant? In a nutshell, we educate, listen, and ask questions with the purpose of helping our clients achieve their wellness goals.
How does the process work? In the initial consultation we get to know our clients by asking a LOT of questions. We want to learn everything about you, from how you feel today, to how you felt twenty years ago and how you WANT to feel twenty years from now! We take the time to learn your past history and ask questions that uncover your character strengths, values, and the vision you have for your future. We educate you on a variety of health topics to equip you with the tools you need to take control of your health. Ultimately we give YOU the knowledge necessary for you to regain power over your wellness journey. And don't worry, we will walk alongside you, helping you to discover the emotional, spiritual, and mental components that drive your motivation to heal. Through this process, we build a strong relationship with you, becoming an ally and providing the support needed for you to transform your lifestyle to not only achieve your goals, but connect with your God-given purpose in life.
Tools for the journey. We will educate you on a variety of topics including gut health, hormone health, emotional health, exercise, mindfulness, and lifestyle choices. Food is our greatest medicine and as such we take plants very seriously! We will provide you with information regarding proper nutrition including vitamins, minerals, and essential oils, to name a few.
The Spiritual Component. “Healing” literally means “make whole” and requires restoration. This happens on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level. In order for healing to take place, one must be in community. Healing requires relationship. It requires communion with God, with each other, and with creation. Wellness is the result of living in community, and this relational experience is our divine purpose—to reflect the image of God. For this reason we also provide monthly wellness classes where attendees can share their experiences and learn from each other.
